Ammonia Pipe Labeling Guide Two free guides are available: One guide (not shown here) illustrates and provides information about the basics of proper pipe identification, based on the ASME / ANSI code A13.1. This is the code that applies to most facilities. The guide shows the specified label text, color, size and locations for various pipe sizes. The other guide (shown to the right) is a specialized guide for facilities that have ammonia piping for refrigeration.
