Arc Flash Warning Label Printer
How Do You Choose the Right Arc Flash Label Printer?
The DuraLabel printer saves you 30-50% on your arc flash labeling costs!
When purchasing a label printer a prime consideration is that arc flash warning labels must be large enough to be seen from outside the flash protection boundary. This generally means that a printer that can print on 4" wide tapes is needed. Smaller printers can't make large enough labels, and larger printers generally are not economical. The DuraLabel can print on tapes up to 4" wide, making it ideal for making arc flash labels.
Can you get the supplies you need? The next consideration is whether or not the appropriate supplies are available. We cover labeling supplies on another page. The DuraLabel has a huge selection of supplies available. Not only are there multiple options for arc flash labels, you can use the DuraLabel to make just about any label or sign needed in your facility.

Arc flash software: When purchasing a label printer you'll need to ask whether software for printing arc flash labels is included. While most printers include label design software, with arc flash labels you want to be sure you label information is stored in a database. This provides a record of what was printed on labels; insures additional and replacement labels are printed with the correct information; and makes producing arc flash labels easy. The DuraLabel includes database software specifically designed for making, tracking, and organizing arc flash labels.
You can also print arc flash labels using generic labeling software or even programs such as Microsoft Excel or Word. With these you should save each label that is printed so it can be recalled later, if needed. The DuraLabel includes Microsoft Word arc flash label templates, allowing you to quickly get started if you wish to print labels using Word.
The DuraLabel is compatible with commercially-available arc flash assessment software, giving you the option of automatically printing labels with information customized to each device in your facility.
The DuraLabel gives you all of the above, with savings of 30-50% over comparable label printers!
DuraLabel Printer: the DuraLabel is a desktop label printer that uses your PC. Why spend extra money to purchase a monitor, keyboard and memory for a label printer when you already have them on your desktop? The DuraLabel works with your PC just as any other printer does. Create and store arc flash labels on your computer, then print them on the DuraLabel.
DuraLabel Features: The DuraLabel is a thermal transfer printer that prints labels that are chemical resistant, UV resistant, water resistant and scratch resistant, so markings will stay legible even under harsh conditions. The DuraLabel printer is distributed with database software specifically designed to print arc flash labels. The software prints on 4" x 6" die-cut labels in your choice of English, French, or Spanish. The DuraLabel can also print arc flash labels created using other software, including Microsoft Word or Excel.
In addition to die-cut labels, the DuraLabel can print arc flash labels on continuous vinyl tapes, available in widths ranging from 1/2" to 4 inches. Single-color vinyl tapes may be used, or get two-color vinyl tapes with a colored header (shown at left.) These include 3" tapes with either a red or orange header, and 4" tapes with either a red, orange, or yellow header.
