How do you choose the right arc flash label printer?

When purchasing a label printer a prime consideration is that arc flash warning labels must be large enough to be seen from outside the flash protection boundary. This generally means that a printer that can print on 4" wide tapes is needed. Smaller printers can't make large enough labels, and larger printers generally are not economical. DuraLabel Features: The DuraLabel is a thermal transfer printer that prints labels that are chemical resistant, UV resistant, water resistant and scratch resistant. Database software specifically designed to print arc flash labels is included with the DuraLabel. The software prints on 4"x6" die-cut labels in your option of English, French or Spanish. The DuraLabel can also print arc flash labels created using other software, including labels created using Microsoft Word or Excel.

In addition to die-cut labels the DuraLabel can print arc flash labels on single color vinyl tapes that are available in widths ranging from 1/2" to 4 inches. Vinyl tapes with a color header may also be used. (Shown to the left.) These include 3" tapes with either a red or orange stripe, and 4" tapes with either a red, orange or yellow strip.
